Rainey III had an emphatic 48-25 win over Ophir at Hatrick Park on Saturday.  Three first half tries, including a joint score from lock Mulholland and prop Devlin, plus scores from centre Nugent and fullback Flynn, with Nugent hitting the conversion, gave Rainey a 17-11 lead at half time.  Ophir scored a try and two penalties.

Donegal Town were the visitors to Hatrick Park for a top-of-the-table clash in Provincial Regional North with Rainey III. The visitors were quick to open the scoring with an unconverted try, but Rainey’s response was impeccable as hooker Goddard forced his way over for an unconverted try following a great charge by lock Wylie and some intense pressure on the visitors’ line. They added another when out-half Feathers jinked his way through the defence from short range, but again the conversion was missed.
